Extraordinary meeting of the fund 26.1.2026
Extraordinary meeting of the fund will be held on Monday, January 26, 2026, at 17:00 in Helsinki, in the Akava House meeting room “Ope”, at Kellosilta 7, Helsinki.
The meeting will address the matters provided for in Section 25 (Transitional Provision) of the Rules of the Unemployment Fund Ote.
As of 1 January 2026, the Board will consist of the board elected at the Annual General Meeting of the Unemployment Fund for Education and Science on 20 May 2025. The Board will convene an Extraordinary General Meeting of the Fund no later than the end of January 2026. At the meeting, the Board of Unemployment Fund Ote will be elected in accordance with the Rules of the Unemployment Fund Ote.
The term of office of the members elected at the meeting will last until the Fund’s Annual General Meeting in 2029 at the latest. The first term of office may be a maximum of three (3) years and five (5) months. At the meeting held in May 2027, one third (1/3) of the Board members shall be due to retire, one third (1/3) in the following year, and the remaining members in 2029.
When selecting board members, the professional competence and good reputation of the members must be considered.
