How to speed up the processing of your application – holiday compensation is in focus this week
The busy summer application period continues, and processing is progressing well at the fund. One of the most common reasons applications are currently pending is holiday compensation, as we are still waiting for information from the Incomes Register. Here’s how processing is progressing and what you can do if your application is pending.
During week 26 (22–28 June), a total of 550 new applications were submitted. During the same week, we processed 880 applications. Processing times are currently under two weeks for first applications and under one week for follow-up applications.
Around 460 applications are currently pending, and the most common reason is holiday compensation. The good news is that many payments are expected to be made today, 30 June 2026. This means the information will soon also appear in the Incomes Register.

What is holiday compensation, and why does it affect processing?
Holiday compensation is paid if you have unused annual leave at the end of your employment. It is allocated over a specific period, which usually starts from the end of the employment relationship. This allocation delays the start of your entitlement to earnings-related allowance.
We can only issue a decision once we know the exact amount of the holiday compensation, as it directly affects when your allowance can begin. Employers have five days by law to report this information to the Incomes Register after payment. This is why we cannot process the application before the information is available, even if everything else is in order.
How to speed up your application?
If your application is pending due to holiday compensation, you can speed up the process by sending us a payslip that shows the amount paid. You can easily submit the attachment via Otenetti using the “Send attachments” feature. If a payslip is not yet available, the application will move forward automatically once the information appears in the Incomes Register. There is no need to contact your employer.
Please check Otenetti to see what your application is currently waiting for. You will always find the latest status and any additional information needed there.
We expect two particularly busy days this week, 30 June and 1 July. This may temporarily affect processing times, but applications are still handled in the order they are received.
We will continue to keep you updated. The next update on processing times will be published next week.
