Membership in the unemployment fund
This application form is intended only for members of the Finnish Psychological Association and those applying for membership. If you are not yet a member of the Psychological Association, please complete the Association’s membership application first. When you belong to the Unemployment Fund Ote through the Psychological Association, you pay the unemployment fund membership fee as part of the Association’s membership fee.
I want to join the Unemployment Fund Ote
An employee in paid work can join the Unemployment Fund Ote if they have completed higher education or equivalent specialised training, are studying towards such a qualification, or work in a role that requires this level of education.
Please complete the membership form below. Note that you cannot join the unemployment fund retroactively. Membership can start at the earliest on the date your application is received by the fund. Payment of the membership fee is a prerequisite for starting and maintaining membership.
Once we have processed your application, you will receive a notification of whether your membership has been approved or rejected.

With this same form, you can also indicate if you are already a member of the Unemployment Fund Ote, either directly (as an individual member) or through another trade union, and wish to continue your membership via the Finnish Psychological Association.
Once we have processed your application, you will receive confirmation from the trade union regarding the continuation of your unemployment fund membership.
